Since 1980, AFG Music has met the musical desires and needs of Orange County from our home base in Costa Mesa, CA. We offer Music Instruction and Lessons, Instrument Repairs, Instrument Rentals, and the best in Live Performances through Fred’s String Band and our Strolling Strings.

We also carry a stock of supplies and accessories for many instruments, so if you need strings for your guitar, bass, violin, or cello, grease for your valves, reeds for your clarinet or saxophone, we can fix you up instantly on-site.

We are a veteran-owned and operated business, and our musicians have no other job – they are all professional musicians and music educators.

Music Lessons and Instruction:

Music lessons are for young people of all ages! You only need a willingness to learn – and time to practice helps, too. Our instructors teach all kinds of music, at all levels from beginner to pro. We offer music instruction and lessons on all the following:

Instrument Rentals:

We rent instruments, so you need not make a big up-front commitment while you’re finding out if oyu like the instrument. All our rental instruments are ready to play and in good shape. And, our rental agreement includes service while you’re renting the instrument.

Musical Instrument Repairs and Service:

We service and repair the whole range of musical instruments, including all of the string family, brass instruments, reed instruments, drums, and percussion. We also provide piano tuning at your site. Please don’t try to put your piano in your trunk and drive it in! If you saw a “great buy” on eBay or Craig’s List, we’ll be glad to take a look at it and tell you what the right price on it would be, how good a deal it really is, and how much work it really needs.
